<description>A CD-length album by Greg Fox in five parts. Story in part two also by Greg Fox.
The first part is a ten-minute explosion of headless recorder tape cut-up, the second is the story, accompanied by 1990s ensemble pieces, all about a man on a park bench who thinks he is God until he steps in dog-poo. The third part is a long VERY aggressive VERY unpleasant tape piece for virtuoso keyboard. The fourth is a disturbing look at man versus machine, including a horrifying tirade of abuse from the ZX Spectrum&#039;s Currah Microspeech unit. The final part is a brief outdoor release with birds and cars but not much silence.

<notes>Recorder Revisited dates from April 2005. Dreaming Shit contains ensemble performances from the mid 1990s (my copyright) including &#039;New Miracle Scenes&#039;, &#039;Bloody&#039;, &#039;Dark Blow&#039; and &#039;Overture: Electric Spring 95&#039;. The finished version dates from summer 2004 but the story dates from around summer 2003.
Cat Bag dates from January 2005 and was made with a 2-note FM keyboard and is a cut-up of a serial improvisation. Fang Box dates from February 2005 and includes earlier tape pieces from 2003. Textin The Carpark dates from March 2005 and was recorded in March, Cambs, UK.

&quot;Dreaming shit&quot; and &quot;Catbag&quot; finish up the 90s strand of fetishistic interest in serial technique (see support document &quot;New Miracle Scenes&quot;). The first four movements are primarily based around sweeping tape cut-up techniques as exemplified by William Burroughs as well as (certainly in Cat-Bag) the more developed small-scale detail of formal musique concrete.

The story to &quot;Dreaming Shit&quot; is &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.archive.org/download/GregFoxTheBalladofCantandBias/dreaming-shit-text.txt&quot;&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;.
